OU Specialty License Plates are Here!

Now you can show more Sooner pride with a OU specialty license plate!

MyPlates, in partnership with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has launched an OU specialty license plate that you can purchase for your car, truck, motorcycle, motor home or trailer. The OU plate features the OU logo on a crimson background and “Boomer Sooner” at the bottom of the plate.

You can even personalize a message on your OU license plate (e.g. GO OU!). Both specialty plate and personalization pricing are in addition to the regular annual vehicle registration cost for a Texas license plate (see below).

And remember, 10 percent of the purchase price of the OU specialty plate and personalization benefit scholarships for Texas students attending OU.

How to purchase your OU specialty license plate:

(1). Visit the MyPlates website at www.myplates.com, or click here

(2). Click the “Create a Plate” button link

(3). Then, click “Design Series / Background Only” Select button

(4). Select your vehicle type (Passenger, Motorcycle, Private Bus, Trailer)

(5). Under “Pick your Design” look for “Colleges / Schools” and click the OU plate design
