VOLUNTEER WITH THE OU CLUB OF HOUSTON!

Every year we host Big Event with OU Club of Houston the same weekend OU holds their Big Event in Norman. The Big Event is the University of Oklahoma's official day of community service.

2026 Big Event

Are you ready to make a difference in the Houston community with fellow Sooners? Join us on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at The Houston Food Bank!  It's opportunity to roll up your sleeves, sort and prepare food for underprivileged families in the Houston community, and leave a lasting impact! REGISTER HERE.

• When: Saturday, April 11th at 1pm - 4pm
  
• Where: Houston Food Bank at 535 Portwall Street, Houston, TX 77029
• What to Expect: The Houston Food Bank will start their introductions and a quick guide to the volunteering shift at 1pm. By the time all the groups are settled and at their station it will be closer to 1:30pm. The volunteering work usually takes 2 hours, and then around 3:30pm groups will start cleaning their stations to be done at 4pm!
• Family Friend: The Houston Food Bank allows kids to join the fun! They must be 6 years or older.
• What to Wear: Closed toed shoes and long sleeves recommended!
